Am wondering if it's possible to drag'n'drop items from the DotNetNuke.WebControl.Tree to the UserTable? Then drag'n'move table rows up and down.

I am needing a table that is generated from XML. Can DotNetNuke do this? Then when one clicks on a "editable" cell, that cell turns into a text box. When user press return, or click somewhere else, the cell turns back to normal.

sorry, but currently UDT does not interact with DNN tree control.

Who are the authors/maintainers of UDT & DNN Tree Control?

Is it easy/possible for one to link the two? Maybe write some drag'n'drop events for both controls and handle them?

Tree control is developed by the DNN core team, while UDT module has its own project team.

Currently, I can see limited use for drag'n'drop in UDT - only for arranging field order in manage UDT, so I don't really get the need.

what do you mean with "a table that is generated from XML"? specifying an XML file as data source? UDT currently supports internally created tables only, there is no data provider for other sources. the current version of UDT also does not support inline editing, it uses an edit form for all changes. You might have a look at 3rd party modules such as free AdvancedDataGrid from EfficionConsulting or free GridSelectedView from TressleWorks.
