Hi,

I have created one portal and set below two portal aliases for it.

  1. www.mysitmename.com
  2. www.mysitmename.co.nz
I have also created one skin object which allows user to switch between portal aliases.

When I logged-in from portal-alias1 and try to access portal alias 2, I am not displayed as logged-in user in portal alias 2. How can I resolve this issue? I think issue is related to cookie.

Thanks,
Ruchir

Ruchir,

Is the skin object to switch between the aliases necessary if they truly are the same portal? Normally people want all their aliases to switch to the main domain which would correct your problem.

But yes this is a cookies problem. The way to test that is to clear out your cookies after clicking the skin object switcher and refreshing your browser to see if you log back in automatically. My guess is yes it works just fine.

The reason I was looking through the forums was for a related issue, which would solve your issues too. If there was code to automatically delete the cookie it would solve an issue I have were every once in a while a users cookies will mess up and the only way to get them to log back in automatically is to clear the cookies. In my scenario the user would only see an HTML module if not logged in, which would have this delete cookie code in it.

I am going to continue to search and will post back if I find a solution.

Craig
