Hello!

Is it possible to use the same annoucements module on two different pages within the same application, but applying different view settings to each of them:

on one page, show only the current items, on another, the expired items. Or do the settings always apply to the module itself, independently on the pages it is viewed?

Thank you in advance!

Hello

From what I know of the module, the alternate views drop down including expired, are only visible to administrators as part of the module's design. You'd have to do some custom work to show an expired list to non-admin users. That's just based on some of the responses I've seen though regarding similar situations (as well as my own experience).

yes, the view dropdowns are available.

but what i would like to know is if i can configure the output of this module (one shared module between 2 pages) to show the current item on one page, the expired items on the other.

anyways, thanks for answering! :)

Hm. Yeah. I'd be surprised if there were an easy way of doing that. Using the expired group versus active may require that you do some custom queries on the ExpireDate column of the Announcements table to get that data and display it. I'd post your question on the announcements module forum and see if they have any ideas. Or hopefully you'll get another response from someone else that may have a different approach.
