I am writing an application that will correspond with my site. The first big problem I need to tackle is user logins. I want a registered user to be able to login to my application using the username and password they use on my site. I know the table this information is held in, but I do not know how the password has been  hashed. Can anyone help me with this?

You may want to take a look at Michael Washington's IWeb webservices project and Ian Lackey's IWebCF WCF project in the CodePlex/DNN Forge as these provide an excellent means of communications between a window's application and a DNN installation including handling authentication of the user. They also have a project site located at http://iweb.adefwebserver.com/
