I need to control view or edit permissions by admin. DNN controls view / edit permissions at tab or module level based on roles.
I need the admin to choose a role and for that role he must be able select the tabs or modules which he can view or edit.
Ex: A registered user can view the following tabs t1,t2,t3,etc.
This will provide easy way for the admin to control permissions. how to do this? any idea would be helpful

Hi,

You'll probably have to create a custom module to do this. You can interface with the RoleProvider to achieve this. With something like DotNetNuke.Security.Roles.RoleController. THis RoleController has a AddUserRole method which might do the trick. If you have a role per tab you can iterate through the users and add them to the roles you want.
