Jeff - I Agree with you on that.... its amazing isn't it? I'm not trying to call any fellow designers out but just be the voice of "Reason" Things that make you go "hmmmm"

I also just tried to purchase 1 skin 1 color(I looked at the Demo Code and it wasn't all that great, i knew that I too would have to alter it with changes).... all i needed was the layout and not all 30-50 or so colors. I contacted the original designer via snowcovered begging for only the 1 color as my client could not handle $90.00 dollars for a package of colors.The Reply was basically: "NO YOU CANNOT BUY JUST ONE COLOR, YOU BUY ALL OF THEM FOR $90.00 or so dollars"
"OUCH!"

I'm sympathetic to the design work process but honestly... its pretty easy to run the 1 color through Photoshop batch process and get several different hues in a few minutes and a lot less than $90.00 and my client agreed as he also had additional changes i need to make to the structure.

Thankfully some designers on snowcovered are giving us the option of selecting just 1.
Could you imagine going into an Ice Cream store and they tell you that you have to take a Scoop of ALL 31 Flavors?!
No disrespect to those who only sell skins on a package bases but So much for the power of "Choice"
