I am creating a custom registration process where the registration data collected is used for creating a standard DNN User, as well as storing additional information in custom tables. I created a vb procedure which reads data and uses UserController.CreateUser(user) to create user which works fine. The problem is how do I execute rest of the insert which is a stored procedure. To call this stored procedure I have to open database connection and execute sql within thi vb procedure but I don't know how. Any help in the form of sample vb code will be appreciated

usually you create a dataprovider, calling the stored procedure, like done in the core. Did you notice, that the profile properties can be easily extended via UI (manage Profile Properties)?

Do you have any sample code for this? I tried the following: Dim connection As String = "Sitesqlserver" ' sitesqlserver is a connection already defined in web.config Dim command AS Sqlcommand = New sqlCommand(,connection) command.ExecuteNonQuery But it gave me error "format of the initialization string does not confirm to specification starting at index 0
