I just upgraded to the new editor following the install instructions in the download, but my version has not changed.  At first, it looked like the editor changed, but then it went back to the previous version.  Is there perhaps an old .dll file I should be looking for and making sure it is gone in order to correct this?  My editor version is coming up as 2.4.1 but the one here at DNN is 2.6.3.  HELP!

you need to make sure, the fckeditor.dll is in /bin folder and changes have been applied correctly in web.config file

I did that.  I copied and pasted this into my web.config:

    <htmlEditor defaultProvider="FckHtmlEditorProvider">
   <providers>
    <clear />
        <add name="FckHtmlEditorProvider"
 type="DotNetNuke.HtmlEditor.FckHtmlEditorProvider.FckHtmlEditorProvider, DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider"
 providerPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/"
 CustomConfigurationPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/custom/FCKConfig.js"
 EnhancedSecurityDefault="false"
 SecureConfigurationPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/custom/FCKConfigSecure.js"
 ImageGalleryPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fckimagegallery.aspx"
 ImageUploadPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fckimagegallery.aspx"
 ImageAllowedFileTypes="gif,png,bmp,jpg"
 FlashGalleryPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fckimagegallery.aspx"
 FlashUploadPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fckimagegallery.aspx"
 FlashAllowedFileTypes="fla,swf"
 LinksGalleryPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/fcklinkgallery.aspx"
 DynamicStylesGeneratorPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKStyles.aspx"
 DynamicStylesCaseSensitive="true"
 DynamicStylesGeneratorFilter="controlpanel|filemanager|mainmenu|wizard"
 StaticStylesFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKeditor/fckstyles.xml"
 StylesDefaultMode="Static"
 DynamicCSSGeneratorPath="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKCSS.aspx"
 StaticCSSFile="~/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/FCKeditor/editor/css/fck_editorarea.css"
 CSSDefaultMode="static"
 spellCheck="ieSpell"
 AvailableToolbarSkins="Office2003,Silver"
 DefaultToolbarSkin="Office2003"
 AvailableToolBarSets="DNNDefault,Default,NoGallery,Basic"
 DefaultToolbarSet="DNNDefault"
 DefaultImageGallerySkin="Default"
 DefaultFlashGallerySkin="Default"
 DefaultLinksGallerySkin="Default"
 FCKDebugMode="false"
 UseFCKSource="false"
 OptionsOpenMode="ShowModalDialog"
 ShowModuleType="true"
 CustomOptionsDialog="Admin" />
   </providers>
  </htmlEditor>

And the .dll file in the bin folder is version DotNetNuke.FckHtmlEditorProvider.dll version 1.0.9.42699.  Is this not correct?

provider .dll version shall be 2.0.2.1. did you place the .dll and the provider itself in the proper place (provider needs to be at /providers/HtmlEditorProviders/Fck/)??

I downloaded the FCKeditor from the download page of this site after I upgraded to 4.0.9 of the core.  Could that be what I did wrong?  Duh.  I went back and took the files out of the Core upgrade download.  NOW I have the correct version....
