I am looking at porting a website into DNN with a large number of static pages (600+) and images (17000+).  Can DNN handle that?  What about performance/management issues?  The DNN Page manager seems to use a simple list box to show all the pages and their relationships.  Is there a Page Manager module that has a more sophisticated interface? Like a Tree View presentation?

I have similar questions with the image management.  I searched the forums but couldn't find a similar request (perhaps worded it wrong). Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Byron

As long as you use caching the number of pages shouldn't be an issue at all. Management of these, however, can be cumbersome depending on how many departments (aka roles) you need to accomodate. There are a few page management modules available on snowcovered that might be able to offer a more GUI for page management.

As for the images, what exactly is it you are expecting to manage 17k images? The only reason I could see a site with that many images is if it were some type of gallery (in which cause I would use a photo gallery module). Even if you had 3 images of content on each page, that is only 1.8k images.

The other part of this is that 600 static pages doesn't necessarily equate to 600 DNN pages.  Depending on what the content is, they could be part of a single module (Storefront, Gallery, Repository, etc.).
