Hello,

I am wondering if its a good idea to first work the site on your local computer or work on it online?  Can I easily work the site on my local system then deploy it to my hostings server when ready?

What is the recommended install and deployment procedures for dnn? Any tips? Also what is the best installation method to choose for this type of method? full source, starter kit, or install?

Thanks

Usually easiest start is to install DNN on the hosting server and create your site - either directly on the final domain address or a subdomain (I don't suggest to use a child portal because of different relative image and file paths). If you need to create a custom skin or module however, local development and packaged deployment is the recommended best practice.
