I have a 4.8.0 installation. When I go to file manager I cannot see folders. I can create them and they are visible from my ftp client.

But they are not visible in the file manager.

I have checked with my host and they tell me the permissions are all in order. I asked them to create a DNN virtual user "Network Service". and enable

permissions for that.  I have done recursive syncs over and again.

I still have the problem.

Can anyone help?

I tried a few other portals under the same installation and found I can see folders and they also appear after I add them.

So, I tried using a different skin for admin on the problem portal. The folders now appear in File Manager!

However, there are many folders under the portal root that I have created while uploading images with the image browser.

None of these appear in File Manager.  I am also finding that none of my blog users can upload images even though they have full control

over the blog module. Only admin users can upload images.

Anyone got any ideas?  I really need to solve this issue ASAP.

thanks

Angus

perform a recursive file sync

please notice, that portal files only show up  in file manager in Admin menu,, not FM in Host Menu

you need to grant upload permission for folders using FileManager in Admin menu (beneath the file viewer).
