I'm Having trouble installing source version in VS2008. I'm attempt to open (via vs2008 file/open) the DotNetDuke_VS2008.sln, but I get the following error :

" ...Library\DotNetDuke.Library.vbproj cannot be opened because its project type is not supported by this version of VS. "

Perhaps I didn't install VB support on this particular laptop ? I thought the source version supports C# as well ...

Thanks,

Bob

You need VS 2008 Std/Pro/Team or VWD2008 SP1 Express/ VS 2008 SP1 Std/Pro/Team

Okay, so I've diverted my attention to the Installed version on a real Win 2003 server in my office. I get the following error :

  • If using Windows 2003 - IIS6
    1. the NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE User Account must have Read, Write, and Change Control of the virtual root of your website

Now I am reading thru the install doc and noticed it instructs me to right-click on the physical dotNetNuke folder and choose the "Secutiry" tab; however I cannot get access to the Network Service account. That seems to be the crux of my issue here.

I supposedly have full admin rights to the local login of the server.

Thanks,

Bob
