after installing and running source of dnn on vs2008, some poblems occured for me:

  • Java Script error:
    • Line:         43
    • Char:        3
    • error:        Object Expected!
  • SiteLog error:

  • Authentication->OpenID Settings (ASP.Net Full Trust is required to use the OpenID Authentication Provider. Modify the web.config file so that the TRUST tag in SYSTEM.WEB has a level of "Full". )
  • FavIcons don't display in:
    • IE addressbar
    • search controls

 

what is the problem ? I think the source version that published is not as complete as install version.

maybe these sort of errors occure just because my source is now working under source control (SourceSafe 2005). is that true? what is the solution?

This seems to be permission issue as per the error that is thrown. Please ensure that you have proper permission setup for the directories and that you are running the application in a dedicated application pool.
