I'm going to need a new menu control I believe, DNN Menu is flaking out on me for some reason.  The page usually loads correctly with this source to the browser:

<td width="100%" valign="middle" nowrap>
                                    <span><span width="100%" class="main_dnnmenu_item" name="dnn$dnnNAV$ctldnnNAV" id="dnn_dnnNAV_ctldnnNAV" orient="0" sysimgpath="/images/" rarrowimg="/images/menu_down.gif" carrowimg="/images/breadcrumb.gif" css="main_dnnmenu_item" csshover="main_dnnmenu_itemhover" mbcss="main_dnnmenu_bar" mcss="main_dnnmenu_submenu" cssicon="main_dnnmenu_icon" postback="__doPostBack('dnn$dnnNAV$ctldnnNAV','[NODEID]Click')" callback="dnn.xmlhttp.doCallBack('ctldnnNAV dnn_dnnNAV_ctldnnNAV','[NODEXML]',this.callBackSuccess,oMNode,this.callBackFail,this.callBackStatus,null,null,0);"></span></span></td>

But occasionally the control sends this to the browser:

<td width="100%" valign="middle" nowrap>
                                    <span><div width="100%" class="DNNMenu main_dnnmenu_submenu" name="dnn$dnnNAV$ctldnnNAV" id="dnn_dnnNAV_ctldnnNAV">
 <div name="36" id="36">
  <span class=" "></span><a class="main_dnnmenu_rootitem " href="http://test.naplesgov.com/Home/tabid/36/Default.aspx">Home</a><span><img src="/images/menu_down.gif" border="0" /></span>
 </div><div class="Child" width="100%">
  <div name="54" id="54">
   <span class="main_dnnmenu_icon"></span><a href="http://test.naplesgov.com/Home/CityNews/tabid/54/Default.aspx">City News</a>
  </div><div name="68" id="68">
   <span class="main_dnnmenu_icon"></span><a href="http://test.naplesgov.com/Home/CityEventsCalendar/tabid/68/Default.aspx">City Events Calendar</a>
  </div>

etc.

So, any fixes?  Good replacements?  Prefer cost closer to the House Menu than Telerik, but at this point I'm open to any suggestions.

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

you could try snapsis menu (Not free), or you may try our free skinobject menu (which is more identical to housemenu) with UL LI (List) patterns which is more clearner and good for SEO. Visit www.dnnpages.com for to download the skin object.

I would go for Snapsis I have been using that menu from the earliest version and many of my request are in the final product. Any unordered based list ( or any other menu that needs clean structured custom html ) is possible wit tthis menu.

Because of the tempalte functionality to define how to oputput the html code you can finetune the output to perfection to make it matsch any menu html/css combination you can find online or make up yourself.

Another great feature is that the module also handles the injecting of javascrpt in the header so you can use any script you like independently from the frameworks allready used in the portal for one skins alone

I bought the Snapsis menu several months ago and have it available for this, I'll give it a try, thanks.  I played with House Menu yesterday and it won't quite do what I'm looking for.  DNN Menu seemd perfect except for this rendering error.

Thanks,

Jeff
