Hi,

Can anyone advise how I can control which toolbars (and which functions within a toolbar) are made available to a site user? For example, I'd like to remove the Styles tool bar and also the Justify Centre and Justify Right options.

The only likely config. option I can find for this is to edit  'Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider.vb' and recompile the dll. Isn't there a handy config file lurking somewhere that can simple be edited?

I've spent hours in those setups.  Unfortunately it was for a different text editor.  All I can help you with is a link to this topic their site;

http://wiki.freetextbox.com/default.aspx/FreeTextBoxWiki.ToolbarConfiguration

From what they're showing it seems like there's an .xml somewhere in there.  If not, maybe they make you buy source for it - anyone know what's going on here??

Whta text editor are you using brettuthius?

I'm looking for something more flexible. Doesn't matter if it's hard to configure.

Thanks

We use the Cute Editor, by CuteSoft.  They give config files for admin, registered users, and guests that you can configure yourself.  You can also do some setups within the web.config - is this where you need to configure the free text box?

With the cute editor, all I can specify in the web.config is which buttons and right click menu items aren't displayed. May be the same in your case.  They also have extensive help available too at cutesoft.net - along with a support forum.  Not hard to figure out but its very nice to have if you get hung up.

Thanks for the replies...looks like 'Ftb3HtmlEditorProvider.vb'  is where the config. is applied. I'll give it a whirl.
