Well this is my first post, and my first step into the world of DNN, so hello to all!

I want to build a site with pages that can interact with an Excel spreadsheet or Access database, both reading data and updating.

My question are as follows:

1 What software will I need to build modules with these capabilities (Visual Basic.Net Standard 2003 and SQL Server Developer Edition 2005?)

2 Would I have to store the spreadsheet/database on the web host's server, or could I store it on my own?

3 Does my web host need to have any specific support for these pages to work?

4 If anyone can recommend a good host I'd be really grateful.

Thanks!
