Hi all,

I'm trying to put a consistent header on my website that contains 2 links.

Terms of use | Contact Us

For terms of use I have used the <dnn:Terms/> user control and this is the behaviour I'm looking for, but I'm not sure how to do Contact Us.

I see 3 ways to do this and I'm looking for better suggestions

  1. Put a HTML module in the headerPane so users can update the text/links as needed and just have Contact Us as a content page. Drawback - If page location changes, user needs to update all pages on site*
  2. Hard code link into skin. Drawback - obviously this means that should the location change, dev work is needed. Also causes probs/workarounds with dev environments.
  3. Write a custom user control that searches for a tab with the name "ContactUs" and dynamically create link to it. Drawback - Just time taken to develop

* I'm sure I've seen content in a HTML module inside the FooterPane that has remained static across a site. I'm not sure how this was done.

It'd be nice if there was a usercontrol that allowed us to specify a tab name and dynamically create a link.  Eg: <dnn:LinkToTab tabName="ContactUs"/>

Sorry if this has been answered before. I really didn't know what to search for in the forums.

Thanks,

Greg

Have you tried checking Display Module On All Pages under Advanced Settings?

Brilliant. That's what I was after.

Thanks Jeff.
