Regarding the VAT, the good news is that it works everywhere the same, there is nothing UK specific there. The point that you mention makes sens in any other european country and it deserves a comment in it's own post, so I'll be back on that later.

Regarding beta testers, the problem is that we get very little feedback from testers. Seems that everybody wants to have a look at the new features, but nobody wants to do the dirty job : doing stupid or extraordinary things that the developpers has never done before, and try to crash the code. If someone is serious about sending me his feedback, he can email benoit at dotnetnuke. fr

So you need more testers?

Please count me in if so! I need the store module for one of my portals, so I do have certain interests!

I'm already member of the Gallery module, so I know about the testprocess.

You can mail me on jos.richters@visualdata.nl

Cheers,

Jos

Hi Jos,

The Store 02.01.09 was published 5 month ago and the 02.01.12 near than 2 month ago. The real problem is that many users complains about bugs in the 02.01.00 but a VERY small number test beta versions and report. In fact, I have enougth fingers on one hand to count them! You can download the last beta here, you just have to register. Believe me, I will be realy glad to heard comments from beta testers instead complains.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hello Dave,

The store team is now testing version 2.1.7, one of the most awaited feature beeing the quantity in stock management.

As for bug fixes or suggestion, please send them to Gilles ( gilles at dotnetnuke . fr ) This is the most efficient way to get them included into the code.

Correction : Any issue and enhancement suggestion needs to be entered into the public issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com and will be validated by the QA team. We'll review them there.

What so specific about the UK vat ?

Yup and we absolutely love submitted code in support.dotnetnuke.com, as reproducable issues that haven't been reported before :)

Hi Gilles,

I was the guy who suggested the logistic information like tresholds and that lot..... I run Store version 02.01.12 for a couple of months now and I have no special remarks on functionality so far.

Of course there are always things to imprve, like the VAT issue I read about, but people have to be patient as long as they don't really actively help in testing and/or developing. Being pro-active pays off as I discovered. I got my logistic data by turning post!

Anyway, does the Store team have a testenvironment in the same fasion as, lets say, the Gallery team?

You can make me a testmember if you can tell me what testcases I can run, and where I have to report my findings...

Cheers,

Jos

Hi Jos,

I'm remember! ;-) You'r right, when a user suggest a valuable enhancement, I try to add it quickly. Your one was simple to implement and well documented.

We do not have a Store test web site now, but we will create one in the future. All bugs and suggestions should be entered in Gemini.

Gilles
