Hi,

EasyCGI, our hosting provider, migrated our shared hosting account to another machine and now our DNN installation no longer works.  Their service and support is proving to be incompetent, so I thought I'd have better luck here.  The error I get is related to the machine keys.  My hypothesis is that because the installation is now on a new server, the keys are different.  How do I fix this?  Do I need new keys that correspond to the new machine?  I've heard that changing the keys would mess up passwords.  Any help would be really, really appreciated, as our site's been down for 11 hours now.

Norman,

the machine keys do need to be kept when moving the site - and maybe due to inavailability of the database the install wizard was run and altered the machine keys. If you have a backup of previously used web.config file, copy over the machine keys and retry.
