Hello Everyone,

First of all, I am novice to this Dotnentnuke world. i would be really thankful if you guide me to the right path.

My Query is....As General...Admin/Host Can control the permissions to different users and they can enable/disable permissions to every page/module.

is there a way that specific users will get certain permission based on the answer they submit during registration  without involvement of Admin to change manually?

Since Admin can use Role groups, can a user by default comes under to a specific role based on the answer he submit during registration?

Awaiting for a positice response.

Satish

Hi Satish,

This is possible using the RSVP function. When you go to Add New Role, and expand Advanced Settings, you will see RSVP code. When people enter this code, they will be automatically added to that group.

I haven't found a way to ask for the code at registration, but they can enter the code like this:

1. Register for an account on your site and log in.

2. Go to the Manage Profile screen (I usually add a "Manage Profile" page, since many users won't realize they can get to it by clicking their username), and click Manage Services.

3. Enter the RSVP code and click Subscribe.

They will be automatically added to the role corresponding to the RSVP code they specify.

Hope this helps,
Robert
