When I setup the SMTP and do a test  get this errer: There has been an error trying to send the test email. The error is:
Failure sending mail. Unable to read data from the transport connection: net_io_connectionclosed.

The event log shows:

Please help.

The solution was to make sure that all of the settings were correct...down to upper lowe case in the email/username, which must match the email address of the administrator of the site.
