I am new in programming and also in DotNetNukes, i am looking into source code control & merging tools, but our real concern is that, let me explain the scenario "When different developers will be work on the same module on their own local web server and local databases and after testing their work they will have to merge the module application and data base changes to the main Development server".

For example if these two different developer make changes on the same page (Here we know that DotNetNuke save UI changes in the database) and problem is that "How we merge these UI and database changes on the main server? " .

In this case a source control app will be useful, that way only one person can check out at a time or you can set it up to resolve the difference when you check it in. the Sourceforge does a good job with that.

or if its just 2 developers then make sure that there is lots of communication. so that the other knows what the other is working on.
