I know that

SuperUser can do anything on the website

Admin is basically owner of the website

Subscribers do not have the privilige of doing anything except with some provisions provided by the admin

However, I am looking for a role service as content editor (not management) either I can define or it already exist to do the following:

So this role is just to edit the existing pages using the provided editor. We do not wish these content editor to any new pages or new modules just edit the pages. That's it.

is there a way I can achieve this or should I custom code to do this?

Greatly appreciate any help.

Unless I am not understanding, you just need to create a role, assign people to it, and then give them edit privileges to the pages you want them to edit.  You can also just give them edit privileges to specific modules on specific pages if that is what you want to do.

I am sorry I was little bit unclear in my question.

Here is the scenario,

I want to add few users who can be little more priviliged than subscribers/registered users in that they can edit the already existing page content. However, I do not want them to be admins.

on each of the pages, I have already added text/html module which should suffice for adding/editing the content. I want this role to just allow the user to edit the html/text module that is already being added and not even show the controlpanel / view/edit/design (this is the panel that is visible to admins and host).

you need to create a role and grant edit permission to it when adding the module to the page (or afterwards).

Where do you give edit permissions. Can you please elaborate a little how is this done.

I have tried to add a role and then add users to it. But I didn't see how we give edit permissions to a particular module
