Hi BarryZ

With Events 5.x it is possible to use the new RSS feed to filter by category (and other items). See here for more details - http://www.thedivingclub.co.uk/Information/DNNBlog/tabid/368/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/99/Events-RSS-by-Design.aspx. It only allows for one category in each url at the moment, but could potentially be extended in the future, depending on requirements from the community.

Cheers
Roger

You could even have more than 1 RSSfeed for a single Event module instance (1 for each category you are interested in) and then use the different feeds combined in 1 display

The Downloads page  http://www.dotnetnuke.com/tabid/125/default.aspx  has Events version 4.0.2
If 4.1.0 or 5.0.0 are equivalent in security features, and run on DNN 4.9.x, then are these newer versions safe to install on a live site?
And if they are safe, where are the updated versions available at?

Hi Barry,

You can see the location to download the latest beta/RC version of the module in the first post in this forum. The post also gives guidance on appropriate usage. Have a read and then ask more if it doesn't give enough detail .

With regard your question on my blog, have a look at what is available in the 5.0.0 release (v4.1.0 was an earlier beta). Much of what you are asking for is there. The module doesn't currently contain state/county/city information, so this can't be provided into the feed. I think you should be able to use date formatting through xslt, to get the day of week info you are needing.

Cheers
Roger
