Sorry for the delay, my Father passed away on the 22nd and life has been a little crazy for the last week.  Since I am the one that posted this, no one else at BGI was aware of your replies. 

Michael, yes, Blackboard, WebCT, Saba, SumTotal, Adobe, etc were all part of the competition and several of them are finalists in other categories (there we about 12 different categories of awards).  Currently we have not began the process of integration into other application, however it IS in our plans for 2009 to integrate into PeopleSoft and possibly others.  We are currently researching which systems our clients would like to see and a priority for implementation (feel free to sound in).

Jerry, I have not done a compare with Angel, however I have now have several requests for this comparison, so I had best get on it ;-).  I will post a reply with my thoughts on what they offer, what we offer, and how they compare (when would each be better for a given situation).  The only thing I do not know is their price points, but I am very doubtful they are less expensive than us - as far as I know, we are the least expensive non-OSS SCORM conformant LMS available today.  We also offer full source code licensing and not many do this.

I will also post a separate thread with a list of our features from our website.

OK, I have looked over Angel's site and it is very difficult to do a compare with the information they provide (lot of marketing content, a bit light on feature lists etc), so here is the best I can offer:

If you are looking for a online college like environment then Angel and Blackboard may be a better option.  They are more focused on colleges and have a more matured product.  If however you are looking for a corporate training system or a online (SCORM Based) elearning system with features like SCORM based elearning, certifications, assignments to roles and/or learners, collaboration items like social networking, chat, forums, and an affordable licensing cost, we are the solution for you.

Thank you for your comments both personal and professional, I really appreciate it.  We are a new kid on the block, so we are still growing the system and adding features.  Some of the differences between our system and the big boys out there (Saba, Blackboard, Etc) is that they have had the time to integrate into various systems, they have moved beyond an online training system to more enterprise/corporate and large university focused systems with some enhancement that we have not yet added.  All of these are items that we are implementing (give us a year and it will be hard to find a feature we do not have), however it take time.  The other difference is that we offer full source code licensing, offer free consulting, and are at a much lower price tag and if your needs are fulfilled by our system now, we are a much better option and over time we will be growing the system as your needs also grow. 

The really great thing about our licensing is that if you purchase our current system and maintain a support contract with us, you will get all of these updates, add-ons, enhancements, etc at no additional cost (no upgrade fees and now yearly licensing fees while in a support contract) and I am sure that as our product grows so will the cost, so right now is a great time to get in at the lowest cost ever.  Matter of fact, we are currently offering special pricing through Friday December 19th, 2008.  Until the 19th you can purchase our Single Server or Enterprise license for 33% off our standard pricing.
