Hi Declan,

I checked if any of the files where essentially created on creation of the child portal. Normally when you create a child portal it copies the default files into the child portal folder which it hadn't. It's created the /portals/27/ folder but not copied the files into the folder after creation. I think this could be a template issue but have not altered the default dnn template file. Essentially if when any user on 4.09 tries to create a child portal they should get the same results etc the files not getting created on setup of a new child portal.

It looks like i answered my own question. Yes we all have what i call idiot days.  I checked to see if the resource files were present and there behold for some strange reason DotNetNuke.template.resources was missing from /portals/_default. Reunzipped from the upgrade and all is working fine.

As a follow up as i'm not sure if this is a bug still.  The reason why i was missing a file was due to me running a syncronisation using the built in file manager. Something i neglected to say was also i was currently installing some skins and had added into my File Upload Extensions:template, template.resources, resources now normally i know naming a file with a .resource extension normally hides it in .net and i was using the filemanger to upload them as host the resource files for the skins. Wierd thing happens when you click syncronise button it on host filemanager default path it seems to delete the DotNetNuke.template.resources file.

Now because i have added the template, template.resources, resources to the File Upload Extensions section i presume this is the reason why it's able to delete.  Is this classed as a bug or not?
