Hi,

I need to create a report that will display the number of times a range of pages are visited per day.  This report needs to summarize referrer urls per page.  I have a query that brings me back part of what I need, but referrer is always empty.  Following suggestions from tip I found on the web, I did the following:

Added a links list to the page, made it visible to admin, and set up all the pages I want to track to this module and turned tracking on.
Next, I appended some code to the UpdateUrlTrackingStatistics stored procedure to write a record in siteLog for each time this page is visited.  I added the records here, as I thought the site log would pickup any outside referrels to these pages.  This does not appear to be the case.  Is there for me to pull the data of how many times a page is visited (per day) including direct clicks from the portal and links from outside sites?

Thanks

Brian,

The Admin | Site Log has two reports that I think you could merge together to get your answer.  The first shows how many views each page gets a day and the second is the detailed site log.  You could take a look at those and see if you can't get your answer.  They also have a URL referrer  log that could help as well.

You probably already know all of this, but thought I would post just in case.

That is certainly where I would start looking.

Thanks for the suggestion Stuart.  I found that my primary problem was that the # of days of the log was set to 0.  Apparently this turns logs off.  After I set that to 60 days, I started getting values in my log an I was able to pull the data I needed.  Apparenlty 0 is the default setting here.
