Nina, I totally agree with you. You speak wise. I have been with aspdotnetstorefront  dnn since it is in beta version. Now, almost 2 year, their improvement is very dissappoiting. I do see they already fix so many problems, but they can do a lot more in 2 years . All they care is stuff like pci compliance  ......   I conclude the problems of aspdotnetstorefont ..

1.  Very unflexible, The profile integration with dotnetnuke is unprofessional and weak. It can not be customized at all.  Support refuse to help. Post it in forum, they will delete it right away. Extremely unrespectful.

2. The integration of drop down menu is very weak and unflexible.

3. They use their own registration profile. It end up profile repeating with dotnetnuke.

4. Not user friendly checkout process.

5. No breadcrumb at all.

6. stability still need improve.

7. They do not have a support who know dotnetnuke.

8. Weak support.

I bought it when it first come out due to the high review of it ml version.  After implement it. Oh, my god, it is a total joke. I spend more then a thousand for a joke. Now, it really improve. But, still not worth for it's high price. Depend on their speed of improvement, I would say it still need at least a year of development to worth it's money.

Note for aspdotnetstorefront,

Please do not simply delete thread of forum. It show deeply unrespect. If you have confident to your product, you should not do this.

We've used both and both are good products:

Catalook is probably more flexible that ASPDNSF.  If you know how to code you can make it do what you want if you're willing to invest the time.  The upgrade process was a pain though.  Also the documentation wasn't the greatest.

ASPDNSF offers some nice features but it does not appear to be as flexible as catalook.  Also it doesn't integrate the best with DNN.  For example ... for a person to have admin rights to the store they have to be given full admin rights to the entire site.  This was a problem for us because our sales department manages the store and we did not want to give them full access to the whole website.

For those considering a purchase ... I would recommend Catalook if you're on a budget.  ASPDNSF recently changed their support to be $90 per incident (email) whereas before it was unlimited with the purchase of a license.  This, I think, is way too pricey considering the product still has a long way to go and you will have to create support incidents to get things going.

Just my two cents ...
