Followed Readme.txt directions on upgrading to 5.00RC2

I got this on the very first run of the upgrade.

Method 'GetRoleGroupByName' in type 'DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.DNNRoleProvider' from assembly 'DotNetNuke.Provider.DNNProvider, Version=2.0.0.23759, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation.

 

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.TypeLoadException: Method 'GetRoleGroupByName' in type 'DotNetNuke.Security.Membership.DNNRoleProvider' from assembly 'DotNetNuke.Provider.DNNProvider, Version=2.0.0.23759, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' does not have an implementation.

BTW, we haven't released our DNN install yet, so I'm just going ahead with a fresh install. But this seems to be a pretty basic out of the box error that others could easily experience.  I was just using the default release.config (copied to web.config) when this occurred. I saved off that install so we can test a fix, in case it's not reproduceable.

Was this an upgrade from a virgin 4.9.0 (clean) installation?

Alex,

Not 100% virgin... but not heavily modded or loaded up. I uploaded a skin, added a page, and a registered a few C# modules that were working OK.

I've created DNNP-8775 in Gemini.

Let me know what else one might want to know.
