Good Afternoon (From Australia)

I'm new to DNN, and I've recently finished the install and subsequent walkthrough. I've been trying to create a website which allows users to register (which I have succeeded doing using the dot net nuke standard modules) as well as edit their own profile. After a user registers i would like to have a link encouraging them to 'flesh out' their profile, where i would like to define several areas of information they could provide. i.e. what video games they play in their spare time, what they do for a job, et cetera.

I couldn't find a module that allowed this. I imagine i need a profile page to be automatically created whenever a user registers, with only that user having access to that page.

I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer me, and if there's any other questions, this is currently the most important project i'm spending my time on, so i'll be checking back regularly.

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Ben

Ps. I would also love it if it were possible to create, using dot net nuke, a website that all registered users had access to, that 'summarised (go Aussie spelling)' some user information. For example, the page could show how many people play CoD4 (Call of Duty 4) in their spare time. However, as I said, the most important thing to me right now is to try and set up a website where people can not only register and log in, but subsequently add different interests to their 'profile'.

Ben,

Login as admin and go to Admin > User Accounts. Select Manage Profile Properties then scroll to the bottom and click "Add New Profile Property". Here you can add the specific properties you require. You can set these as required which will ask your user when they sign on to enter values in these fields.

On your second point for summaries you could possibly use the Reports module.
