Can you help.  I have installed DNN 4.0.8 on IIS6/Win2K3 and everything works well except when trying to view the site from any machine except the local host.  I am getting an Under Construction...no default hompage message.

I know this isn't the case because throwing in an index.html page in the directory makes that visible to everyone(intranet and internet) but as soon as I try to serve the default aspx file created by DNN it says there is no default homepage.

Am I missing something.  I have the ASP.NET configuration set to the current level on the server, I have the default app pool using the ASP.NET pool as configured by DNN. This isn't a permissions or traffic block issue it is simply that the IIS server won't serve the ASP pages.  I am very new to ASP sites and so am lost.

Is this a DNN setting I missed or does it sound like an IIS configuration setting?

Any help would be appreciated.

Dustin

Dustin,

My guess is that it is IIS.
Under IIS Web Service Extensions, do you have asp.net as "allowed"?  By default, it is not there.

On the website properties, all you should need to do is set the location path where your install is, set execution permissions to scripts only (and select the application pool as you like), on the documents tab set the default content page to "default.aspx",  and make sure the version of asp.net is correct under the asp.net tab.
