I also got this error with the new "compiled module" template. Solved it by setting the DotnetNuke library reference property for "Copy Local" to True.

I know this is a really old thread, but I'm living in the past in my DNN development.   I'm getting the Name 'EditURL' is not declared when I tried to develop my first module.  I'm using version 4.8.4 because this is the version that our software vendor has delivered to us.  So, I downloaded the SDK for that version.  The DotNetNuke.dll version is 4.8.4.2.   The module kind of works on my local version of DNN.  If I update the label text="whatever" in the .ascx page it will display in my module on my local DNN website, but if I assign the text to my label in the ascx.vb page it doesn't work.     By what I've read in the threads,  do I need to be using a different dotnetnuke.dll version?
Can anyone provide direction in what I should be doing to resolve this error so that my module will read the code in the  .ascx.vb ?   Thanks.
