I found another one. We used the efficion consulting articles module. Sometimes administrators of subportals where logged out, and sometimes everything went fine.

Finally we found out if there were articles which used an 'articleimage' it would cause problems.

It seems strange that so many people would post about this and then all of the sudden stop.  Has everyone fixed the issue?

I tried inserting the session variable in my default.aspx page but I still get logged out.

I'm curious too. Would anyone who was present for this war care to post a synopsis of solutions so we don't have to read through 11 pages with all the blow by blows? Regardless, thanks for all the investigations!!

Since Upgrade to 4.3.3 my users are getting logged out.

I can no longer create child portals from template.

I do not have any custom modules installed.

Well over 100 posts on this subject but no answers.

Please help.

Ok, I'm going mad with this problem.

I'll tell you what happened to me because it seems that you've followed the wrong path.

Firstly, this error has been chasing me for a long time now but I didn't notice it before because it didn't happened very frequently (each 30-45 mins) And suddenly everything broke down. Now I can only stay logged in for about 4-6 minutes whenever I try to edit anything in my site.

As you all mentioned above, this only happens when one switches from a portal to another AND it doesn't have any effects on Superusers. But my case is different. I do have some subportals but when this error occured, I didn't even touch them! And even when I'm logging in as a Superuser, it throws me out each 5 minutes. Using FF may get rid of this but it doesn't display the whole site correctly.

Has anyone solved this issue yet? And does this happen in Dotnetnuke.Com?

Sorry for my bad English!

Best regards.

duchoangle,
I am having the problem on a child portal in DNN3.1.1 and it seems related to the Efficon Consulting Articles module.  A previous post recommended a workaround that is working for me:  I have created an account on the parent site for all users that can acceses edit functions to the module that is causing the trouble.

So far that has worked for me, perhaps it will provide you a workaround until cathal of the core team gets his fix for this completed.  Cathal seemed to be getting very close to a solution in the previous posts.

Regards,
Bob
