Afraid that DNN-3013 didnt fix it in DNN 4.3.3 or 4.3.4.  Child portals still seem to cause a login.  It doesnt look like its a problem with the module not passing parameters as it happens on text/html (be it with freetextbox or rad editor provider).  Also happens with Starter Kit example.

After reading the whole thread the only workaround that works for me which is very annoying is to create the same username and password on the root portal thats on the child portal (doesnt seem to need same permissions).  That way when they click update DNN doesnt kick you back to login screen.

Please cathal or someone else help!  Would be really nice if we could have a true fix.  Any help you need on fixing it for me let me know what you need.

Im using 3.3 I hope that there is a fix implemented for the log out issue or we will be forced to rethink using child portals.
That would really be a dagger in my back as I am the main dnn proponent here at the school district where the traffic on dnn is enormous.

I have dutifully read this entire thread but in the end no solution is offered--or did I miss something? It seems odd that the thread would dry up after arousing so much activity.

I am dealing with the logout problem now after creating child portals in DNN 4.3. This is a deal-killer for me (and the users I cannot allow into their sites) and is highly agitating considering the time I've spent developing the sites.

If I have missed something, please accept my apology and be so kind as to direct me to wherever the solution lies. I'm gettng a little desperate here.

Well, Im using 3.3.4 and still getting this with some 3rd party modules. I know this is not dotnetnuke fault. I tell my boss that its not my fault.  He doesnt care :( Anyways, is there some change I can do besides updating the 3rd party module?
