I made a quick blog post this morning about why DNN Corp getting funding is good for everyone!

Thanks, Chris, for the quick blog post on this new hot topic and for the "top 10" list (I especially like #1 -- just how old is that headshot?).

The first question in my mind was the same that I think many will ask:  How will this change DNN and what will continue to be offered for "free" versus "paid".  You answered that question (DNN will remain open-source and free!).....Let's hope that continues to hold true when it comes time to repay the venture capitalists...

Agreed.

I don't wan't to see the day when DNN becomes a paid-only platform, or where the free version becomes low quality....

Shaun Walker alredy confirmed several time his addiction to Open Source and the fact, that the community version of DotNetNuke will be based on the same code as the professional version. Most of the other large open source projects do have investors or commercial sponsors, to be able to maintain and develop the core with necessary resources and desired performance. I am sure, DotNetNuke will gain from this support and we will be able to provide you with a much better product - in both the community and commercial version.
