Hi,

thanks for the new manual. Now i finnaly got the login with AD credentials working. The roles are also being applied. But.....

When i removed a users group in the AD the user is still having the rights in DNN the role is still there.

I cheked it from 2 workstations with IE7 and firefox. What did i do wrong?

Synchronization only works with matching groups in DNN and AD, if the group does not exist on either end, it will ignore it.  This is by design, to make sure valid groups are not removed.   Role membership will not be altered because of this.

So, if you delete a group in AD, you must also delete it in DNN.

I'm not sure if it was a typo in the first post or not as this seems to have popped up lately. Did you delete the whole group from the AD or just a user from the AD group. It's starting to look like there's a bug that's not removing the users from a DNN role when they no longer belong to a corresponding AD group.

I'll look at this as soon as I can but right now I've got an issue with the version for DNN 5 that prevents the provider from working completely.

Thanks Mike,

What i did is the following;

I removed a user out off the group (i didn't delete a group or user). In this case the user doesn't have rights in the AD that this group has. But in DNN (where also the same group exists) the user is still member of that group, so he has the wrong rights in the new situation.
