I am looking to embed dot net nuke within an existing application so that the existing application handles the authentication and then redirects to Dot Net Nuke.  The Web application is using forms authentication, authenticating to Active Directory and then setting the formsAuthentication AuthCookie. That does not get me authenticated to the DNN using the Active Directory provider.

I downloaded the source to see what I could do after I authenticate the user to let DNN know that this user is authenticated, but I couldn't find the Code Behind file for WindowsSignin.aspx (looking for WindowsSignin.aspx.vb). This is where I think that the code would be.

I notice that after I log in to DNN once I can go here to auto logon: http://www.mywebsite.com/portal/DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory/WindowsSignin.aspx

So this tells me there is some Context variable being used. If I can manipulate this within my application, then I think I would be set.

Does anyone know what variable the Active Directory Provider looks for or where I can find WindowsSignIn.aspx.vb?

WindowsSignin.aspx just passes the context information on for further processing but you are essentially correct. In the source package there's a file with a .resources extension. Change .resources to .zip and the .vb files are there (or if you install the source package in your development DNN install the files are automatically extracted).
