Please I need some help

I am trying to send a newsletter to my registered user from my website. I selected registered users as selected rules to receive the newsletter, but I keep receiving this messenge:

"No Messages were sent, maybe due to empty roles"

Why? if I selected registered user.  How can I fix it?

I want to send newsletter to my registered users, but I dont know other way to do it.  I used the newsletter rules long time ago with another webiste and I love it.  Can somebody help me please?

Thanks

I was using Dotnetnuke 4.8.2 and then I upgrated it to 04.09.00.

When I send it Asynchronous, this is the messenge I receive: "OKBulk mail sent (asynchronous mode). Please check confirmation email for result"

But when I check my email to make sure i receive a copy of the email, I dont receive anything.

When I send it synchronous: "No Messages were sent, maybe due to empty roles"

Before the upgrade didn't work neither.

When I use dotnetnuke first time, I can send newsletter without problem.

I will be waiting for your answer and thanks for your time and help
