if the appropriate language pack for DNN core is installed (in Host :: Languages) and enabled for the portal ( in Admin :: Languages), each user can specify his preferred language in his user profile (accessible via user name link, replacing register link when logged in).

hello,

i have multilingiual site(english and arabic) and when i login with language set to arabic it is taking me to english.

as soon as i click login i have a module which picks the language from addressbar and depending on that language redirect to somepage(arabic) but it is always redirecting to english language.

intresting thing is that language=ar-KW is coming in addressbar but when i try to pick it using querystring, it did not fing it

hope you understood me, please help me in this

you need to add ar-KW language in Host :: Languages and enable it for your portal in Admin :: Languages.

yes i did that and all my pages are working fine, only at the time of login it is picking english language even though my default language is arabic.

addressbar: http://localhost/virtualdir/mypagename/tabid/121/ctl/Login/language/ar-KW/Default.aspx?returnurl=%2fvirtualdir%2fmypage.aspx

and from there i am picking language

if request.querystring("language")="ar-KW"

   do this

else

   do this

it is going in else part i dont know why
