Hey All,

I have an easy requirement and unsure how to get it to work. I need to list a bunch of names (200) in alphabetical order, but here is the tough part. How can I display quick links like A, B, C, D etc... so that it takes you to that section of the list.... I want to display the "letter links" at the top of the page. This is much like how when we go into the Account Settings and search for an account.

Any thoughts would be good, thanks.

Are you retrieving the list of names dynamically or is it static?

Static would be fine. I assume that means that the full listing will be on the page. This is fine as long as someone could click on the letter and it would take you down to that point in the page.

Thanks

ok, then along the top of your text/html module you need a row of letters corresponding to each letter that you want to send people to.  These letters should be made up like this:

<a name='letterlist' /><a href='#A'>A</a> <a href='#B'>B</a> <a href='#C'>C</a> <a href='#D'>D</a> and so on until... <a href='#Z'>Z</a>

Going down the page, at every point that you want to send the user to, you need an anchor tag like this

<h2><a name='A'>A</a></h2>
Aardvark
Accident
Altruist
<a href='#letterlist'>^^Up to Index^^</a>
<h2><a name='B'>B</a></h2>
Beggar
Blunt
Blind
<a href='#letterlist'>^^Up to Index^^</a>

<h2><a name='C'>C</a></h2>
Camel
Central
Chartist
<a href='#letterlist'>^^Up to Index^^</a>

<h2><a name
='D'>D</a></h2> Dark Dentist Dog <a href='#letterlist'>^^Up to Index^^</a> . . . . .
<h2><a name
='Z'>Z</a></h2> Zebra Zeitgeist Zoom < a href='#letterlist'>Up to Index</a>

Well I muscled through this and tinkered around a bit with the Text/HTML module. You said something about "anchoring" and it made me think. So I found that I can create "anchors" in the module and "link" the letters at the top to the anchors. This achieves exactly what I needed. Thank you for your help....
