I would like to know if the DNN 4.02 will run with SQL 2000?

If so, is there anything I might want to be aware of during install?

Will I be able to install the starter kit onto a host server or run a prefab script for the install?

I have installed DNN locally and also have a web site bu the host provider installed the DNN on the server

Is there a good clear read on installing to a server on my own?

Thanks,

Dan

Hello Dan - yes you can run DNN4 on SQL 2000.

There are docs I think they are in the docs folder or a separate download, but the main thing your host needs to be aware of is the permission in the folder needs to be set to full trust.

If you have setup DNN3 before, the connection strings are the same for DNN4 - just swap the settings - you'll see in the release.config file there is one commented out. One is for sql2005 and the other sql 2000.
