Hi All,

I am considering imlementing Facebook Connect in my Wall module so that people can use their FB account to post data and the Smart-Thinker UserProfile Stories would feed back to Facebook.

However I do not want to reinvent the wheel and perhaps Facebook Connect should be considered as a new Login tab on the Log in page (ie. a new authentication provider).

I just need to know if there are any plans to implement this and what DNN's long-term strategy with this type of technology is. If not then I will use it at module level. (E.g. Invite your FB friends to groups, events etc. and feedback stories to your profile).

I guess we need to look at the MySpace data sharing tool and Google OpenSocial. It would be so good if these could be considered for the generic DNN platform instead of at module level.

I thought that I had read about facebook intergration when 5.0 was anounced at openforce in 2007. I do not know what the plan is. Maybe someone from the core can comment on this? however google did turn this link up.
