  • is the scheduler jon for search indexing running?
  • are there search related issues in the event log?
  • did you verify the searched words being stored in the search word table?
  • did you try to clear and rebuild search index?

Cheers from Germany,

I did these steps

  1. Login with host, Selected "Schedule" under Host menu and set below mentioned properties and clicked on "Update" link
  2.
     Edit Schedule

    Update  Delete  Cancel

  3. I verified the search tables "SearchItemWord" and "SearchItem".Words exists there which i am searching.
  4.  I cleared search index by :: truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem

  5. Then moved to "Search Admin" under host menu and clicked on "Re-Index Content" link

please check, if the words you are looking or, are listed in the Search word table and the module id, where it should occur, in the searchitem table.

Are you presented with a blank module called "Search Results" or an error?

Did you check the eventlog for errors occurring, when the search indexer runs or you are performing a search?

I did these steps

  1. Changed the contents of site
  2. Run this script
  3.  cleared search index by :: truncate table {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWordPosition
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItemWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchWord
    DELETE {databaseOwner}{objectQualifier}SearchItem

  4. Then under host menu selected "Search Admin "  and clicked on " Re-Index Content" link.

And after that new contents starts coming in search.

Do i need to do these steps each time when i put new content on site??
