Hi,

We are developing a custom authentication solution for a DNN4.9 site.

It uses an iMIS database (I don't know too much about it). iMIS is a membership management system for clubs and societies.

We want a user to log into the DNN site and have the user name and password validated against the hash string in the iMIS db. Both sites are on separate hosted servers.

We don't need access to the other user information like address etc. We will need to control DNN roles and permissions though.

Should we just write something that uses a web service or direct sql calls?

Also where is a good place to get a handle on the architecture of authentication in DNN, is is the same as version 3?

What is the best way to set this up? Thoughts anyone?

Thanks, Ian.

Ian, have you been able to accomplish the DNN integration with iMIS? May I ask what version of iMIS you are using?
