As others have already said, you will need a custom module or modify the registration process to meet your needs.  We have done something very similar for our upcoming Active Social product.  We have given you the ability to use all the default DotNetNuke settings and capabilities in a wizard format.  You can even allow the user to upload a photo or avatar which is then stored with their DNN Profile.  Here is a video I just put together that may give you some ideas.
