I'm new to DotNetNuke. I am trying to use the XML Module to display an RSS Feed of another DotNetNuke Module on the same site, but can't get the fee to display. The feed url that I am supplying is the URL of the feed itself (e.g. the blog feed URL), which, when displayed in the browser (FF or IE), will display the raw feed formated with the browser xsl default. I have also set an rss.xsl stylesheet, which displays correctly displays RSS feeds from other sites (even DNN sites).

Any thoughts on why this might be happening and what can be done to correct it, so that I can use the XML Module to display DNN RSS feeds would be greatly appreciated. If there is a tutorial somewhere that could walk me through, step by step, to setting this up correctly, that also would be appreciated.

Two further points:

a. my site is using automated ssl authentication to sent users to the dotnetnuke applications, via a URL redirect to (for example): https://webapp.domain.com/dotnetnuke/default.aspx. Would this be preventing the feeds from appearing (I had supplied username / password to the module in the security settings, but to no effect)

b. I have already posted these questions in the NewsFeed Module Forum, but that module is having authentication issues with DNN feeds.

Thanks once again.

Anyone have any updates on thoughts on this problem. It doesn't seem that too many people are reading or posting here.

I read your post, though I don't know what is happening. It is on the same site, so it is not related to security ( it should work also in Medium Trust)

If your feeds requires DNN or any other form based authentication, it can not work. Username/ password are only working against basic/windows authentication.

I try to answerall posts as fast as possible, but:

  1. Forum notification is currently broken
  2. Other tasks have simply higher priority these days (hint: X'mas is approaching).
