I found the Bug-Report and it offered a solution:

"After exporting a page template, the template file is not displayed in the Template dropdown list in Import. This is because the ".template" extension is not a valid default file extension in Host Settings. To correct this issue, the ".template" extension should be added to the default file extensions."

Sorry to say, adding both template and page.template didnt realy fix this problem

Maybe I should say it clearly: I still need help, the offered fix did not work. Cant be that your final answer is: "we know its broken, wait for the next release", can it?
