Dave-
If you have some sort of javascript console there IS a script to take you to the login page but that would simply repeat the issue you're already having (i.e., direct you to the page where you're already being directed).

Fixing the Setting in the DB
You need to get into your DNN DB to undo your issue.  Check table "PORTALS" and clear out the value under "LoginTabId" for your portal.  That should put your login back to the default behaviour of taking you to a dynamically-generated page for login.

For the record:
The script call to go to the Login page is:  __doPostBack('dnn$dnnLOGIN$cmdLogin','')  ...and you would need a JS console like the one offered in IE DevBar or DebugBar in order to execute the call while browsing your portal: http://www.eguanasolutions.com/DNN_Blog/EntryID/19.aspx

Good luck!

I am having the same problem and I did as written above but now I get the following error:

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: The entry 'ScriptModule' has already been added.

Source Error:

Line 76: 		<httpModules>
Line 77: 			<!-- add name="Authentication" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.AuthenticationModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Authentication" / -->
Line 78: 			<add name="ScriptModule" type="System.Web.Handlers.ScriptModule, System.Web.Extensions, Version=3.5.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31BF3856AD364E35"/>
Line 79: <add name="Compression" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.Compression.CompressionModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules"/> Line 80: <add name="RequestFilter" type="DotNetNuke.HttpModules.RequestFilter.RequestFilterModule, DotNetNuke.HttpModules"/>

Source File: c:\inetpub\wwwroot\dotnetnuke\web.config    Line: 78

What should I do now? I am a newbie at this as you probably already can tell.  Thanks in advance, Carole
