My Account Login module is no longer behaving correctly.

I was having issues with my login prompt not automatically showing when trying to access the homepage. I have managed to sort that out, but now i am against an issue that seriously has me scratching my head.

I have a new page setup as my login page, with the account login module on it.
Anyway the only thing that shows up when i view that is an announcement link.

I have checked the module definition and can see that it is now linking to the announcement.ascx control. Hence me seeing that instead.
I have also checked the files and tried to navigate tot the desktop/authentication folder to see what is going on there, and there is no authentication folder under the desktopmodules folder. What is going on?

Does anyone have any idea what i can do to sort this out? It is urgent.

My issue is not loggin back in. I have set the default login page as the login page until this issue is resolved.

I do need to be able to you my custom login page as this has a specific skin applied to it that the client requested.

My issue is that when i use my custom login page i do not get the required fields to fill in to allow me to login. THe only thing that does show up is an announcement link ??? On the account login module??

I checked the back end files and as i specified i cannot find the required folder? Is there anyway i can get this back?

Cheers
Rachel

It isn't very clear to me what is going on, but it sounds like you have a page you created with a custom skin that you want to be the Login page.  However, when you use it as the login page all you see is the annoucement module.

I am going to assume that you want an announcement module on the page.

You have a login module on the page correct?

The login module is set so unauthenticated users can see it correct?

Or you logged in and it isn't there?  That might be because unauthenticated users are the only ones who can see it.

Hope that helps,
Stuart

A side note about the announcement appearing on the Login page:
If the Announcement module was not explicitly added to the Login page, it may be appearing because it was set to "Display on all Pages" in it's module settings on whatever page it was originally added to.
