I know DNNCorp is a General Corp, incorporated in Delaware. It's not a close corporation. So where can one buy the shares? It's the best way to raise capital, you know? I for one would like to buy some stock and be a part of it (and eventually own all of it :)). Or, do you guys want to keep it close and in the trusted circle? Sell some stock. It will make lot of difference in the attitude of the users when they will own a part of DNN. Maybe issue few stocks (10% of the authorized shares in the articles and you still have the control). I am sure many people (vendors) will pay premium price to own a piece of DNN.

Just my 2 cents.

Not the same. I was thinking of giving a sense of ownership to the vendors/users. That will help DNN in long run. Ok, you exchanged shares for cash with August Capital and Sierra Ventures but they are not the ones who use/promote DNN on daily basis (I hope you guys still have major share than August Capital and Sierra Ventures in DNN Corp.). DNN can have a bright future because of it's regular users. Venture capital is good initially but how will that help DNN in the long run? The premium support is good to raise funds but also imagine if the users (vendors and website builders) have stocks. They will help promote DNN because each of them will have a personal stake in DNN. Almost all vendors/website builders will leave the DNN logo or at least powered by DNN link on every website they build.

I can talk more about how it is beneficial to issue shares to vendors (premium price or by auction) but I will stop. I am sure you are doing the best. After all, you do have a personal stake in DNN Corp.

My final 2 cents.

Thanks for taking the time to read..

It sounds a good idea. I would buy some if possible.

I see your point, it's certainly interesting, but it's not anything I can really comment on as I'm not a member of DNN Corp and don't have a personal stake in this. I like the fact the corp has got investment as I feel it will aid them to realise the long list of tasks we're all looking to get done in much shorter time scales/better quality, which benefits all DotNetNuke users.
